BOOK LAUNCH "MUSEUM SAN KELLER” and presentation of the Museum in a packed state.

Thursday, 20 April, 5 to 8pm

San Keller is one of the most esteemed and internationally successful Swiss artists of the present time. He is known for his participatory performances and ephemeral actions, which often resemble social experiments and characterize the critical, conceptual, and playful tone of his work.

The San Keller Museum in Köniz near Bern housed Keller's early paintings and drawings between 2008 and 2022, but the collection also includes works of various genres from the artist's later creative phases to the present day. The museum space was also the private living quarters of Fritz and Marianne Keller-Lehmann, the parents of San Keller, who frequently made them accessible to the interested public upon request.

In April 2022, the San Keller Museum finally closed its doors, and in April 2023, the book "Museum San Keller" will be published by Scheidegger & Spiess, which documents the 14 years of the project's existence. The Keller-Lehmann couple provides detailed descriptions of selected works by Keller and offers insights into the collection rooms through exhibition views.
